Tags

Tags in Lar are Objects, not strings hidden in a metadata array. A Tag can have a page, description, aliases, backlinks, and its own place in the graph.

Type # followed by a tag name in an Object body. Selecting or creating the tag links the current Object to that Tag through the system tags relation.

Use the Object’s tag row or tag picker to search existing Tags and add or remove them. Reusing the same Tag Object keeps graph and filter results consistent.

Open a Tag to see the Objects connected to it. The Tag page supports identity details such as a description and aliases, plus browsing and filtering controls for its members.

Use a tag when the category should be a navigable Object shared across Types. Use a select property when the allowed values belong to one schema and should behave as a controlled field, such as a Project status.

Avoid creating nearly identical Tags for capitalization or alternate names. Add aliases to the existing Tag when the terms refer to the same concept.
